These Terms of Use govern your booking and participation in the "Japandi Spirit Journey" provided by Elama LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By booking a tour, you agree to these terms.

1. The Nature of Our Service

The Japandi Spirit Journey is a private, bespoke experience curated by Yumi Ishihara. Every journey is designed through dialogue to meet your specific interests. We act as your guide and cultural bridge to the Hida region.

2. Booking and Payment

• Confirmation: A booking is only officially confirmed once we receive the full payment and issue a confirmation email.
• Payment Method: All payments are processed securely via Stripe. We accept major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
• Pricing: Prices are as stated at the time of booking. Specialized activities, such as Guided Forest Bathing, require additional fees as noted in your personalized proposal.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

We understand that plans can change. To maintain the quality of our handcrafted services, the following policy applies:

• 8 days or more before the tour: Full refund (minus any non-refundable transaction fees).
• 7 days to 48 hours before the tour: 50% refund.
• Within 48 hours or No-show: 100% of the total fee (Non-refundable).
• Force Majeure: In the event of extreme weather or natural disasters, we will offer an alternative itinerary or a full refund.

4. Guest Responsibilities & Safety

• Health & Fitness: Please choose an itinerary that matches your physical capabilities (e.g., hiking). It is your responsibility to inform us of any health concerns or allergies.
• Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, medical expenses, and personal accidents. Participation in our tours is at your own risk.
• Conduct: We ask guests to respect local customs, the 150-year-old private home, and the natural environment of Hida.

5. Limitation of Liability

While we take every precaution to ensure your safety and comfort, Elama LLC and its guides shall not be held liable for personal injury, loss of property, or any indirect damages occurring during the tour, except in cases of proven gross negligence.

6. Modifications to Itinerary

Hida's charm lies in its seasons. We reserve the right to make minor adjustments to the itinerary due to local conditions, facility closures, or weather to ensure the best possible experience for you.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Gifu, Japan.
